Counterfeit Policy

This policy is applied to guarantee all users of the Asia Whisky Auction Website is doing everything in its control to combat the deal of fake whisky. All counterfeit whisky will be rejected and the related user accounts will be removed at once. Any counterfeit goods and fraudulent behaviour may be detailed to the authorities and further legal action may be taken.

Physical - Each bottle will be examined. Analysing many things such as fonts on the label, colour of the liquid, quality of build, bottle fill level, seal integrity, coding, barcodes etc.

Comparison – We would source an exact same type of whisky from our source when and where applicable. All of the above physical checks on the item will be performed to compare with the known genuine. In case there is any inconsistencies, the bottle will not be listed or will be removed from auction.

Origin – Seller will be contacted to detail the provenance of the item in case of any speculation to the genuineness of the bottle. If the seller cannot reasonably prove the bottle in question is genuine, it will not be listed in auction.

Any inquiries we receive regarding to the genuineness of a bottle will be treated confidentially and with the most importance.

By registering to www.asiawhiskyauction.com and specifically by participating as a Seller in any auction run by this website, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to our Terms and Conditions, and agreeing that the items you sell are genuine and aware of the implications of attempting to sell counterfeit items.

Should the seller wish for items to be returned, they are responsible for arranging the shipping of the item to their address; or if they request us to send the item back, the shipping fee is responsible by the seller.

In case of a bottle fail to meet Asia Whisky Auction’s standards or not comply with our checking process, this would result in seller bottle being returned or disposed of at seller’s expense, plus an admin fee of HKD500, and related storage fee and delivery charge if applicable. Asia Whisky Auction Limited does not accept any liability for claims made against counterfeit bottles.
